A L'il Mets History
I read this article about the Mets and all the contracts they've eaten (with emphasis on the Bobby Bo contract in particular), and it's easy to see why this organization was always seen as second rate. They do really dumb things:-Ronjaya
To be fair, the Yanks have signed some duds too (Kevin Brown, Randy Johnson, Carl Pavano) but when they part ways they don't pay the player more than they initially owed them.
ReplyDeleteThe Bobby Bo thing is just weird, it's like he knew where the Wilpons buried that Vegas Hooker they killed.
I used to think that the greatest job in the world would have been to play for the Mets, but now I realize it is to be released by the Mets and run away with Wilpon money.
